Oscar is the human equivalent of a hurricane in flip-flops: unpredictable, messy, and somehow always leaving a trail of chaos that people still thank him for. Where Raymond sees life as a series of careful steps, Oscar sees it as an endless buffet of “why not?” Raised in Florida and proudly carrying the quirks that come with it, he’s the guy who can turn a trip to buy milk into an airboat ride, a roadside gator selfie, and a story involving three strangers and a goat.

He’s never met a plan he couldn’t ignore, or a deadline he couldn’t miss by just enough to still get away with it. His car is a mobile thrift store, his fridge is a mystery box, and his wardrobe seems to be sourced entirely from yard sales and questionable souvenir shops. But what he lacks in organization, he makes up for in heart. Oscar is fiercely loyal, endlessly curious, and has a knack for making everyone feel like they belong (even when they’re ankle-deep in swamp water for reasons no one can quite explain).

Meeting Raymond gives Oscar something he didn’t know he needed: a friend who balances his chaos with calm, and who will actually remember to bring sunscreen to their adventures. For Raymond, Oscar is proof that sometimes the best things in life happen when you throw away the map and just see where the road, paved or otherwise ... takes you.
